Duck River the weekend of August 18-19 2012

This is one of my favorite places in the world. Duck River Tennessee

It had rained all day friday and some more friday night, this mire sure made the frogs loud.

This is my little truck fixing to get unloaded.

Here is some fungi on a tree.

Should I shimmy up this tree?

Nettle

Purple wildflowers. I don't know what type. Maybe you can help?

I have know clue what this plant is either. Help?

Grass. Not the smoking type.

Turkey feather as I found it.

Here is Rastis. He is the landowner's crazy dog.

Crazy Eyes!!!

Hard to get any fishing done as you can see.

Here's the chicken I carved. It was my first try. Humor me and say it looks chickenish.

The "chicken" next to a large mushroom.

Tobacco worm.

Tonight's fire sure was comforting.

Look a pig!!! Ok it was just the silouhette of the logs making it look that way.

Oh my! A gator head!!!

Here is the river in the morning.

Floatin' around.

Still floatin'

I did manage to catch these fish.

This is my cousin Tim with the big fish of my trip.

I traded these fish to Tim and his Mama for what is in the last picture.

Tim cleaning fish.

The end product. Lots of meat there!

This is what I traded the fish for. Two jars of  Nancy's (I don't know why it ain't World Famous) salsa and a jar of 'maters

Beaver Dam at Mystery Lake

These pictures are from a lake near middle Tennessee. A person I have never met, but consider a friend told me about this lake and we have decided to keep it's beauty and peacefulness exactly that. The lake is not usually this muddy but this was after a good week of rain.
